Article Marketing With Carin: Week 4


Hellooooo everyone! I couldn’t be more excited to talk about my 4th week with Article Marketing With Carin. I have been getting some amazing traffic to my website because of the promotion tactics I’ve been using and in today’s video I show some of those results.

There are many services online that will write articles for you and I wanted to share a list of a few websites I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Outsourcing is one of the ways the leaders in our industry stay ahead of the game. Best part is that you can get well written articles for around $10 each, and some of these websites even offer bulk discounts.

ClarkCovington.com – This is the one stop shop for any writing needs you may have. They do everything from writing a custom SEO article to creating auto-responder campaigns. They also offer a monthly subscription option that gives you a discount on bulk article orders.

TextBroker.com – This is a really unique site. How it works is you pick the article topic you what written and open an “assignment” on the website with all the specifications and details you want in your article. Then depending on the quality level you choose an independent writer comes along and accepts the project. The website is strict about the quality level of your content and if you are not happy with how the article comes out you can have it re-written as many times as it takes to get it the way you want.

99CentArticles.com – This is another site that offers many different type of writing projects. They pride themselves on high quality content and only hire the best writers to work for them. If you are new to what you are doing and not sure what topics or keywords to use all you have to do is give them a general idea of what you are looking for and they will choose relevant, good quality topics and keyword for you that will produce traffic.

I hope this weeks segment shows you how beneficial article marketing can be, and with all the services available and reasonable prices the fear of not knowing how to write or what to write about should be alleviated.

Article Marketing With Carin: Week 3



For this weeks post I have recorded a short video of the results I’ve received so far using several mass submission techniques for my articles. I also wanted to share a blog post written by David Wood that shares the exact process I am using for my article marketing. I hope you get as much value from it as I have:

5 Free Article Marketing Tips To Dramatically Increase Your Results

Article marketing is one of the only strategies that has stood the test of time in the internet marketing universe.  In fact, not only is it still effective, because of new internet technologies and innovations in strategy, you can get more visitors, leads, and conversions than ever.

Article marketing works. It’s that simple.  How do I know that it works?  Simple.  I got 25,000 unique visitors to my brand new website in less than 8 weeks from the time I launched it using nothing but article promotion strategies.

In case you haven’t picked up on how significant that is, how much do you think Google would charge you to get 25,000 visitor through Pay Per Click advertising?  A LOT.  I get better sales conversions from article leads than I do from Pay Per Click, anyways, which is one of the reasons I like it.  (That way, I at least know my leads can read).

So because I want to keep this article short, sweet, and to the point, I’m simply going to give you a few quick tips to improve your article success, and send you on your merry way.

1.  Create one new article, blog post, or piece of content per day. Look, out of all of the things I’m going to mention here, this is the most important.  In a very short time, you will out rank almost all of your competition simply by creating more original content.  Unless you’ve got some paid assistance, I wouldn’t create much more than one article per day, because of the time that it would take, unless you write professionally.  However, make sure that you complete ONE new article a day.

2.  Create variations of the article and submit it to as many article directories as you possibly can. I take an extra 30 minutes per article and re-write all of the sentences 3 times.  Then I submit it using an advanced piece of article technology to more than 200 article directories.  Since each directory gets a unique article, and the content is high quality because I create the variations myself, I only get positive, raving reviews from all of the directories I submit to.  (You can read about the software that I use in Carin Davis Recommends.)

3.  Point all of the article variations back to your original article in your author resource box. That way if Google thinks that it’s just a bunch of duplicate content, (which it won’t, if you re-write the sentences), at least it will all point back to your original article, and your website will come up first in the search engines.  I’ve demonstrated that this works with more than 50 competitive, unique keyword phrases.  Try it.

4.  Create a short, 30 second video of yourself talking about how awesome your article is. Then, use one of the video promotion services out there to broadcast your video all over the internet.  Point the link in your video resource box back to your original piece of content.  I use Traffic Geyser for my video promotion.  However, if you want to do it a little slower you can use one of the free video promotion services out there.

5.  Bookmark your original piece of content, and your YouTube video using OnlyWire.com (the little button you see at the bottom of this post), which is a free social bookmarking service that will submit your original article to 25 or so social bookmarking sites, which gives everything you do additional links and exposure.

That’s it my friends!  If you do those five steps once per day, every day, you’ll beat out 99.9% of your competition in a couple of months.  Do it for 100 days and let me know what happens!

Article Marketing With Carin: Week 2


Hi everyone! We are at week 2 of Article Marketing With Carin and I have some great results to show you. I was able to successfully promote 5 articles using Automatic Article Submitter which sends the articles to over 300 articles websites/directories. What you do is create a “main” article that you want to point all the traffic to and you do this by creating links in other articles to that website.

For example, in the videos above I show you the views of the articles I have added to my MLM Lead System Pro back office. Each article gets its own webpage and I add the link to that website in the author box in the Automatic Article Submitter. I also add a link to the website I want to promote. (In next weeks video I will show you exactly what I mean and how the program works.)

You want to submit your article to this many sites and directories because the more content you have pointing to one website the better your ranking in search engines will get. In the short time that I have been using this wonderful piece of software I have been able to get almost every single one of my articles onto the 1st page of google.

I also decided to make videos of all my articles and use Traffic Geyser to promote to a ton of video sharing sites like YouTube and MetaCafe. Again, the more content you have out there, the better your website ranking. Take a look at my YouTube page to take a look at examples of how I do the videos for the articles. Make sure to look at the descriptions; all of them contain a website url which is the website or content I am marketing and want people to visit.

Article Marketing With Carin: Week 1

After watching an amazing webinar a few weeks ago about article marketing by David Wood, I have decided to put his teachings to the test. I tell you all this because I am going to post updates as I go along so you can keep track and see first hand how you can use article marketing as a way to promote your home business.

I love article marketing because once you get the hang of things, which admittedly takes a few weeks of hard work, it becomes very easy and doesn’t take much time.

For those of you who have never written an article this marketing concept can seem like a lot of work. And it is…at first. I felt the same way when I first began writing. I was fairly new to the network marketing industry and I was convinced I didn’t know enough to actually write a decent article.

After doing some basic training on copywriting and reading strategies online I realized that is just takes a little bit of research on a subject to write a good article. Below are some steps you can take:

  • Choose a topic to write about – Seems basic I know but this can be the hardest part. Choose a broad topic and then do a keyword search using any number of free keyword tools you can find online. Then look for specific long tail keywords or niche topics under that main topic so you have a better chance at ranking on the first page of google.
  • Do research on that topic – Spend about 20-30 minutes research the topic you’ve chosen to get some ideas for your article.
  • Make a list of 3 main points you want to get across in your article (one sentence each).
  • Write down 3-5 sentences that backup each of your three points.
  • The 5 sentences you wrote will make up the body of each paragraph.
  • Write 3-4 sentences that sum up your three main paragraphs. This will be your introduction paragraph.
  • Write a 2-3 sentences that sum up your three main points, and gives people the final solution. This will be your final paragraph.

That’s it! That’s all it takes to write an article that will get great results. At most this process should take you is about an hour and a half. When you first begin it will take more time because each new topic is new for you and so it could take you around 3 hours from start to finish to finish the article.

The next step is to promote your article to as many article directories as possible. That’s the process I will be updating you on for the weekly addition of Article Marketing With Carin.

When you own a home based business or are in any Network Marketing business a great skill to develop is learning a bit about HTML. The reason for this is because it allows you to get creative and produce some killer advertising for yourself. In today’s blog I’ll be showing you the steps to create an image that is clickable and will take someone directly to your website. There are so many cool ways to market your business, but one of my favorite right now is placing free classified ads on Backpage.com.

The steps below will show you how to create a clickable image for classified ads, or any other service you are using to post an html image for your network marketing business:

  1. Create the image and save it as a .jpeg file. You can use a number of programs to do this ranging from a very basic program like Windows Paint or more advanced program like Adobe Photoshop.
  2. Take your image and upload it to a service like photobucket.com or flickr.com.
  3. Once the image is loaded to the website and you’ve named the image, I recommend adding tags to it. This helps the image to rank in google rankings, something you definitely want. You want to chose keywords that are relevant to the image, so if you are doing a classified ad about starting a home business, you would want to use keywords like “starting a home business”, “work from home”, “home based business”, etc.
  4. The next step depends on your service, but since I use photobucket.com I’ll be explaining the steps taken for this website. At this point you want to get the HTML code for the image. In photobucket you can either hover over the image itself or click on the image you want to you. There are several different selections you can make here, so make sure you are copying the HTML code only.  This is what it should look like:  <a href=”http://s409.photobucket.com/albums/pp176/napavllyphoyo/?action=view&current=Ad011copy.jpg” target=”_blank”><img src=”http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/pp176/napavllyphoyo/Ad011copy.jpg” border=”0″ alt=”mlm leads,how to start an online business,home business,grow your home business”></a>.
  5. Take your HTML code you got for the image and paste it into a notepad document. Make sure that Word Wrap is not checked.
  6. You now want to change to target section of the code. This is the part of the html code that will direct the person that has clicked on your image to your website. As the code is now it will send them to your photobucket account. You want to change the part of the code between the first set of quotation marks to your website address: http://s409.photobucket.com/albums/pp176/napavllyphoyo/?action=view&current=Ad011copy.jpg, and change it to look like this: http://www.CarinDavis.net. The final code will look something like this: <a href=”CarinDavis.net” target=”_blank”><img        src=”http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/pp176/napavllyphoyo/Ad011copy.jpg” border=”0″ alt=”mlm leads,how to start an online business,home business,grow your home business”></a>.
